About the role
TAFE NSW is seeking a Permanent Part Time Part Year Technical Assistant Agriculture to work in the Agricultural Teaching Section at Dubbo Campus. The role is responsible for providing support in the preparation of materials and equipment to support educational delivery. In the role, you will ensure the ongoing care and maintenance of equipment, facilities, and grounds with the teaching section.
The role involves offering support to the teaching staff in the delivery of assessment and training of practical tasks. As well as maintaining the tools and equipment utilised by the teaching section in accordance with Work, Health, and Safety requirements. It also undertakes critical functions of Animal Welfare.
About You
Working in a supportive environment, you will play a vital role in assisting with the delivery of educational programs. Your experience in agriculture, safe handling and use of pesticides and chemicals, and well-developed knowledge of tools and equipment will be key in this role. Your initiative to identify and organise resources required by students and staff will deliver service excellence. You will enjoy working in a performance driven team with strong values and integrity.
If you have…
1. A passion for the Agricultural Industry.
2. Previous experience in maintaining stores and equipment.
3. Have the ability to support teaching staff and students during classes.
4. Knowledge and experience within the Agricultural Industry, specifically in relation to animal management and farm management.
5. Possession of or willingness to obtain prior to commencement of employment, the following: Forklift LicenceFirst Aid CertificateStatement of Attainment in Agriculture Chemical Skill SetClass Light Rigid (LR) Drivers Licence
