Job Title
Clinical Nurse Educator position available to provide clinical education and training within the ward.
About The Role
This role involves developing, implementing and evaluating education programs for staff, mentoring and supporting new graduates, students and experienced nurses, facilitating orientation and ongoing area competency assessments and monitoring compliance to mandatory training.
The ideal candidate will hold a current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and have demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively with others and as part of a multi-disciplinary team. They will also have competence in the delivery of adult education at a ward level and understanding and learning and assessment principles.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement education programs that promote competence of nursing staff
* Mentor and support nursing staff in their roles
* Facilitate orientation and competency assessments
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure best practice standards
Working Requirements
This is a Category A position and applicants must comply with NSW Health policy directive for Category A positions prior to offer.
