As a Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Veterinary Professional Practice and Veterinary Biosciences you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program at the Melbourne Veterinary School. You will deliver engaging curriculum content, lead innovative teaching practices, and collaborate with industry stakeholders to enhance student learning experiences. This role allows you to advance your academic career while contributing to the development of future veterinary professionals.
Your responsibilities
* Deliver engaging curriculum: conduct tutorials, lectures, and workshops, and design assessment tasks that align with the DVM curriculum.
* Lead by example: uphold university values, foster excellence in teaching, and actively support research and teaching initiatives.
* Provide academic mentorship: offer guidance and support to students, enhancing their learning experience and professional development.
* Contribute to school activities: participate in administrative functions and engage in events to promote student and community engagement.
Fit / Qualifications
You are a dedicated veterinary professional with a passion for teaching, possessing excellent communication and organisational skills, and a collaborative approach to enhancing veterinary education.
* Bachelor of Veterinary Science, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, or equivalent degree.
* Demonstrated experience in teaching and designing assessments within a DVM curriculum.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
* Strong organisational skills to manage projects and meet deadlines.
* Experience in online teaching platforms and subject coordination.
