About the role
Reporting to the Victorian Sales Manager – Resins, you will be responsible for growing new accounts (20%) and managing a portfolio of existing accounts (80%).
Territory area Victoria and South Australia. South Australia travel approximately every 4-8 weeks (in compliance with health and border restrictions).
Role responsibilities include:
* Constantly growing new business and customers
* Managing existing customers and their needs with regular monthly orders
* Managing sales volume growth, as well as profitability
* Visiting customers regularly to understand their business to be able to serve them best
* Develop understanding of products offered and various applications
* Managing stock to avoid ageing stock and stock out issues
* Following up payments each month and ensure up to date
* Sharing market and technical information with the sales team
* Managing and resolving customer complaints and product quality issues that arise
Best suitable candidate
* 3-5 years experience in front line sales or technical sales role
* Outstanding track record in developing and growing new business
* Self-motivation, persistence and a can-do attitude
* Proactive approach in serving our customers
* Ability to build strong customer relationships and strong commercial acumen
* Exceptional communication and presentation skills
* Able to travel interstate or overseas once a quarter for one week
* Knowledge of polymer, chemical or similar industry would be advantageous.
* A degree in Chemistry or Polymer science is desirable but not mandatory.
