The Role
We are seeking a proactive, hands-on Junior Project Engineer to join our team in Harvey, WA, for a full-time position. In this role, you will work alongside and support our Project Managers in executing current projects. You will take a hands-on approach and be expected to manage a team to effectively deliver solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
* Working alongside & supporting our Project managers on executing current projects.
* You will take a hands-on approach with all our projects and will be expected to manage a team to effectively deliver solutions.
* Facilitate & manage current and new projects including preparation of documents & reports.
* Undertake safety assessments and complete necessary supporting reporting.
* Provide input of technical design across all industries.
* Assist in the tendering process of projects including site inspections, work procedures & documentation.
* Provide the stakeholders with scheduled forecast & job status reports.
* Assist in identifying process improvement projects within the business.
* Carry out actions required for enacting improvements to the business.
* Implementation of process improvement business strategy.
* Accurate project costing, resourcing and forecasting.
* Assist in the development of strategies to improve efficiencies and reliability.
* Completion of projects in a safe manner, and within budget approvals.
* Management of capital expenditure to agreed requirements.
What Makes You a Great Fit
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Bachelor of Engineering - Mechanical/ Civil/ Electrical (Other engineering disciplines may be considered).
* Previous experience/knowledge in a similar role or experience within the agriculture sector will be beneficial but not essential.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word and Project as a minimum).
* Proficiency in AutoCAD LT/ Mechanical/ Electrical or similar software.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work well within a team environment.
* A collaborative and open-minded approach to finding innovative solutions.
