Main duties of the job
We seek a candidate with a deep understanding of workforce systems, experience in service delivery and optimisation within complex organisations, and strong leadership, stakeholder influence, and project management skills.
Accountabilities include:
* Leading the optimisation of the current workforce system across NHS organisations
* Assessing and identifying opportunities for system optimisation aligned with strategic objectives
* Maintaining technical and functional knowledge of ESR to influence stakeholders and realise benefits
* Supporting the development of the Readiness and Implementation team, setting strategic goals and ensuring resource adequacy
* Delivering support to organisations, overcoming barriers, and securing leadership buy-in
* Developing frameworks to assess organisational readiness for future implementations

* Optimising the current workforce solution across designated NHS organisations
* Leading annual assessments to identify optimisation opportunities
* Maintaining detailed technical and functional knowledge to influence stakeholders
Establishment and management of the Readiness and Implementation Team
* Supporting the creation and development of the team with strategic goals and resources
Data Insight & Reporting
* Ensuring data quality and developing reporting frameworks to monitor readiness and system performance
Stakeholder Relationship Management
* Building relationships with suppliers, NHS regions, ICBs/ICSs, and senior leaders
* Securing commitment and managing technical information for senior stakeholders
