**The Opportunity**:
We have an opportunity for a skilled and experienced individual to manage and drive the activities of Council’s Community and Cultural Services Section including overseeing the delivery of Council’s Children’s Services, libraries, South East Centre for Contemporary Art (SECCA), Bega Valley Commemorative Civic Centre (BVCCC), and family preservation programs.

As a Manager of Community and Cultural Services, you will undertake strategic planning for areas of responsibility and contribute to the development of organisational integrated performance reporting requirements, and review existing service delivery models, identify gaps in service delivery, and seek grants, funding, and partnership opportunities to maximise service viability and meet identified needs. You will monitor financial performance and oversee the implementation of strategies to manage fee income, client debts and program subsidies.

**About You**:
We are seeking an individual who holds a degree qualification in Business Administration, Community Services, Education or equivalent related qualification and has a minimum of five (5) years’ relevant work experience.

You will have the following skills and experience;
- Demonstrated experience in the management and leadership of services and programs related to library services, arts and culture, children and families, venues, and people experiencing disadvantage.
- High-level knowledge of state and Commonwealth legislative and regulatory operational frameworks relating to programs, as well as local government legislative framework.
- Well-developed financial management skills with sound knowledge of budgeting processes, techniques and basic accounting principles.
- Demonstrated strategic skills in the development and delivery of innovative programs, services and activities that build opportunities and benefits for the community.

**Benefits**:
This is a permanent, full time position working 35 hours per week.

The total remuneration package for this position commences at $159,284.01 gross per annum, comprising of:

- $2,734.96 per week base salary
- $328.20 per week superannuation (calculated at 12%)
