Fire Compliance Coordinator Role
The role involves managing Annual Fire Safety Statement (AFSS) compliance across a large NSW property portfolio. This includes ensuring tenants meet fire safety obligations, coordinating inspections and certifications, and maintaining all compliance documentation in line with NSW legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage AFSS activities, registers, and documentation for leased and vacant sites
* Liaise with tenants and approved contractors to coordinate inspections and certification
* Review and verify compliance evidence, ensuring all records meet legislative standards
* Support tenants with AFSS and fire safety requirements
* Collaborate with project and tenancy teams to ensure new fitouts meet compliance standards
* Monitor AFSS progress and provide regular reports on risks and outstanding submissions
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Solid knowledge of NSW AFSS requirements, BCA, and AS standards
* Proven experience coordinating AFSS or fire safety compliance
* Strong administrative and communication skills
* Ability to work collaboratively with tenants, contractors, and internal teams
* FPAS / Accredited Practitioner (Fire Safety) knowledge
* Experience within government or infrastructure portfolios
* Understanding of active and passive fire systems
