Primary objective
The Digital Education Content Designer will be responsible for designing and developing evidence-based education program content that aligns
with the NT-Wide Confident Care in Aged Care project objectives. The Digital Education Content Designer will collaborate with subject matter
experts and stakeholders to create high-quality education materials that support diverse learning across various platforms and formats. All content
will be developed in accordance with digital accessibility guidelines and relevant aged care standards to ensure inclusivity, compliance, and best
practice.
Context statement
This role will provide high level education content design and development to meet the objectives of the NT-Wide Confident Care in Aged Care
project. This new project collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to codesign education for clinicians and support workers caring for
Older Australians across the Northern Territory.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Create, design, and develop interactive digital learning modules for clinicians using eLearning authoring tools and learning management
systems.
2. Incorporate multimedia elements (videos, simulations, quizzes) to enhance engagement and learning outcomes.
3. Work closely with clinical educators, aged care specialists, and other SMEs to translate complex clinical content into accessible, engaging digital
formats.
4. Ensure content accuracy, relevance, and alignment with current aged care standards and best practices.
5. Design content that meets digital accessibility guidelines (e.g., WCAG), ensuring all users, including those with disabilities, can access and
benefit from the materials.
6. Test and review digital learning modules for usability, accuracy, and effectiveness.
7. Revise and update content in response to feedback, system updates, or changes in clinical guidelines.
8. Follow defined service quality standards, work health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to ensure high
quality, safe services and workplaces
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Demonstrate advanced experience in designing and developing education program content across various formats including digital modules,
facilitator guides and multimedia resources.
2. Proficient in using digital content development tools and learning management systems (LMS) with a proven ability to create interactive,
multimedia-rich educational resources.
3. Demonstrated organisational skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively, including time management to meet deadlines,
and adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
4. Strong ability to work collaboratively with subject matter experts, clinicians, and stakeholders to translate complex clinical information into
engaging digital content; excellent written and verbal communication skills.
5. Commitment to quality assurance, including testing and evaluating digital learning modules, and a willingness to seek and act on feedback to
improve educational resources.
6. Awareness of multicultural issues and an ability to interact effectively with people from diverse cultures.
Desirable
1. Experience or certification in using eLearning authoring tools
2. A tertiary qualification in education, instructional design, digital media, screen and media, or a related field
