Warehouse Coordinator Job Description
This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of goods in and out of a warehouse, maintaining accurate records and adhering to relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lifting and moving cartons weighing up to 35 lbs. using safety equipment as needed.
* Verifying part numbers and storing parts in designated areas.
* Utilizing utility carts, scanners, and computers for inventory management and order picking.
* Loading and unloading trucks, reconciling paperwork, and preparing orders for billing and shipping.
* Operating warehouse forklifts or picker trucks, and company delivery vehicles as required.
* Scheduling, tracking, and monitoring inbound and outbound shipments to ensure proper routing and storage.
* Coordinating cost-effective transportation while meeting deadlines.
* Participating in continuous improvement projects to enhance efficiency.
Additional Duties:
* Completing export documentation, including dangerous goods transport documentation.
* Ensuring compliance with trade and environmental regulations for hazardous materials.
Basic Qualifications:
* A high school diploma or equivalent.
* Two to four years of experience in a related warehouse environment.
* The ability to lift up to 35 lbs., manage heavier cartons safely.
* Fluent English language skills (reading, writing, speaking).
* Experience with material handling equipment and basic computer skills.
* A valid driver's license with a clean record (if driving is required).
* The ability to stand and walk on cement floors for extended periods.
