Sales Director IT Services and Consulting
We are hiring on behalf of our Client, a leading global IT services and consulting company that is expanding its footprint across major Australian Government accounts. This strategic Sales Director role is focused on leading enterprise sales engagements, driving digital transformation initiatives, and expanding high-value consulting relationships within Federal departments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead business development and strategic account growth across nominated Government departments
* Drive full-cycle enterprise sales of IT services, digital consulting, and transformation solutions
* Work closely with internal teams on RFPs, bid responses, and contract negotiations
* Leverage existing panel arrangements and procurement frameworks to unlock new opportunities
* Engage senior public sector stakeholders and build long-term client relationships
* Manage pipeline, forecast accurately, and meet quarterly and annual revenue targets
* Represent the client brand at industry forums and public sector events
Ideal Background:
* 15+ years of experience in enterprise sales or account management within IT services or consulting
* Demonstrated success in selling into Australian Government (Federal or State)
* Strong understanding of public sector buying processes and procurement compliance
* Experience closing complex multi-million-dollar deals (ideally over $5M)
* Background with top-tier system integrators or consulting firms preferred
* Strong network across key departments such as Defence, Health, Services Australia, or Home Affairs
