Protech are currently seeking Civil Labourers to join an electrical crew supporting local government projects across the Cairns region. This is an opportunity for candidates looking for ongoing, stable work with a team that values reliability, attitude, and long-term commitment.
ABOUT THE ROLE
* Immediate start available
* Casual role with ongoing work
* Working across electrical and civil projects
* Projects may include local and remote work
* Working away from home may be required
* Opportunity for long-term placement and progression
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* General civil labouring duties
* Assisting with electrical installations and infrastructure works
* Trenching, conduit placement and cable laying
* Site preparation, clean-up, and manual handling
* Working safely around site, equipment, and live work zones
* Following all WHS and safety procedures
TICKETS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
* Construction White Card
* MR Licence (essential)
* Previous civil labouring or construction experience (highly regarded)
* Physically fit and capable of manual labour
* Able to work in trenches and confined spaces
* Reliable transport
ABOUT YOU
* Strong work ethic and positive attitude (essential)
* Genuine labourer – not suited to operators or drivers only
* Physically fit and agile enough to work on the ground and in trenches
* Able to take direction and act quickly on site
* Strong communication skills (clear English required for safety and instructions)
* Reliable and committed to showing up and contributing to the team
* Looking for long-term, stable employment
