Project Manager – Power Gen/BESS

Search Partners are recruiting on behalf of a well-established, globally backed engineering organisation delivering complex projects across Australia's energy, power generation and transmission sectors.
This is a hands-on Project Manager role, ideal for someone who enjoys being involved from early commercial stages through to on-site delivery and commissioning, working across technically complex electrical infrastructure projects including generators, HV transformers and BESS.
The Role
You'll be responsible for managing the supply and delivery of electrical engineering projects, working closely with Projects & Construction, Engineering Services, and Sales teams to ensure safe, on-time and commercially sound delivery.
Key aspects include:
* Managing projects covering maintenance, supply, installation and commissioning of electrical equipment
* On-site project management during installation and commissioning phases
* Planning, controlling and monitoring projects from quotation through to final accounts
* Leading and motivating project teams and subcontractors
* Building strong stakeholder relationships with clients and internal teams
About You
You'll likely bring:
* 3–5+ years' experience as a Project Manager within power generation, transmission or heavy electrical projects
* A relevant engineering qualification
* Strong commercial and project management skills (planning, estimating, costing, negotiating)
* Proven experience delivering projects valued at $2M+
* Previous site-based or field/project engineering experience managing trades
* Flexibility to travel and work on site 1–3 months per year (or as projects require)
* Australian driver's license and full working rights
