Overview
Dining Room Supervisor to oversee the daily operation of the dining area and ensure an excellent experience for all guests. This role involves supervising front-of-house support staff, maintaining a clean and organised environment, and working closely with the kitchen team to ensure buffet service runs smoothly.
Responsibilities
* Supervise and coordinate the work of support staff including kitchen hands and cleaners
* Ensure the dining room, buffet areas, and service stations are clean, organised, and presentable at all times
* Monitor stock levels of dining room supplies (cutlery, crockery, condiments, napkins, beverages etc.) and ensure all items are fully stocked
* Work closely with chefs to ensure the buffet remains tidy, well presented, and adequately stocked
* Notify kitchen staff promptly if buffet items are running low
* Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in dining and service areas
* Provide a welcoming environment for guests and actively obtain feedback from diners regarding their experience
* Respond to guest enquiries or concerns in a professional and timely manner
* Assist with setting up and packing down dining areas as required
* Support the wider team to ensure efficient and smooth service periods
Skills & Experience
* Previous experience in hospitality, dining room supervision, or restaurant service
* Strong leadership and team supervision skills
* Excellent communication and customer service abilities
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
* High attention to cleanliness, organisation, and presentation
* Ability to work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house teams
