Executive Assistant to the District Director
Community, Wellbeing & Allied Health | CCLHD | Fixed-Term (Maternity Leave Cover)

This is a maternity relief position and should the permanent incumbent require an early return from maternity leave, this contract of employment will cease with two weeks notice. Maternity relief positions can be for a period of up to 12 months, with the possibility of continued employment for up to a further 12 months for maternity leave reduced hours, therefore there are no claims to permanency.

This is not your typical Executive Assistant role.

Working directly with the District Director, Community, Wellbeing and Allied Health, you will operate at the centre of a complex and high-performing portfolio — providing trusted, proactive support that enables executive decision-making across the district. This is a role where your judgement, discretion and ability to navigate competing priorities will genuinely influence outcomes.

About The Role

In this role, you will:

* Partner closely with the District Director to manage a dynamic executive office
* Coordinate priorities including diary management, meetings, briefings and correspondence
* Prepare high-quality reports, briefings and responses within tight timeframes
* Build strong relationships across senior leaders, stakeholders and external partners — including the Chief Executive, Ministry of Health and other government agencies
* Manage sensitive matters with professionalism, discretion and sound judgement
