Food service supervisors oversee staff activities related to food preparation, portioning and serving. They are responsible for ensuring that food and services meet corporate standards for consistency.
To achieve this, they estimate and order ingredients and supplies on a weekly basis, prepare food orders for customers with allergies and maintain records of stock, sales and wastage as well as cash outs and balancing.
