About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Nurse Educator to join our Learning & Development team on a fixed-term, part-time basis working 60.8 hours per fortnight (4 days a week). You'll have the flexibility to work from our Rivervale office, at sites, and from home when not delivering training.
You will be joining a supportive and collaborative Learning and Development team, which includes a Manager, Clinical Nurse Educator, Learning and Development Officers, and a dedicated Trainer. Our team sits within the broader People, Learning and Culture (PLC) division, where we work together to build capability across the organisation.
You will play a key role in developing, delivering, and coordinating clinical and non-clinical education programs that support best-practice care and align with Southern Cross Care (WA)'s Learning and Development Program.
Training will be delivered to staff across our Residential Aged Care facilities, as well as our client-facing teams within Community Mental Health, Community Options, and Home Care services. You will also ensure compliance with accreditation standards, promote evidence-based nursing practices, and support our commitment to continuous learning across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, coordinate, and facilitate clinical and non-clinical education programs aligned with our Learning and Development Program.
* Deliver training to employees across Residential Aged Care, Community Mental Health, Community Options, and Home Care services.
* Provide on-the-job training, mentoring, and competency assessments.
* Support professional development and capability-building initiatives across service areas.
* Ensure compliance with aged care regulations, accreditation standards, and internal policies.
* Consult with Service Delivery Managers and teams to identify training needs and support operational goals.
* Deliver training both face-to-face and virtually, including travel to regional locations such as Broome and Kalgoorlie.
* Design and develop engaging and role-specific training materials and competency assessments.
* Support implementation of sector priorities.
About You
* Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse, with 1–3 years' experience (aged care experience desirable).
* Proven ability to develop and deliver clinical education, mentor staff, and assess competencies.
* Strong knowledge of infection control, aged care standards, and adult learning principles.
* Excellent communication, organisational, and time management skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams.
* Willing and able to travel to regional locations, including Broome and Kalgoorlie.
