Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter to join our team on a full-time basis. As a Carpenter at GEE Homes Pty Ltd, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and other materials. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the successful completion of our projects and maintaining our high standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities
* Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the materials and tools needed for each project
* Measure, cut, and shape wood, plywood, and other materials according to the project requirements
* Install structures and fixtures, such as windows, frames, floorings, and trim, using hand and power tools
* Repair or replace damaged or defective parts of structures and fixtures
* Inspect and maintain tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition
* Follow all safety protocols and regulations while working on-site
* Collaborate with other team members, including contractors and subcontractors, to ensure timely and efficient completion of projects
* Communicate with clients to understand their needs and provide updates on the progress of projects
* Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times
Requirements
* Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Carpenter in the construction industry
* Trade certificate or equivalent qualification in Carpentry
* Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods, as well as building codes and safety regulations
* Proficient in using hand and power tools, including saws, drills, and sanders
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials and equipment
* Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
* Willingness to work overtime and occasional weekends as needed
