About the role:
You will play a pivotal role in supporting the Mayor and ElectedMembers, ensuring seamless coordination of their schedules, events,and communications. This is a unique opportunity to contribute tothe success of the activities that shape our vibrant community.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Provide high-level administrative and executive support tothe Mayor and Councillors.
* Manage correspondence, prepare official communications, anddraft speech notes for community and stakeholder events.
* Coordinate diaries, travel arrangements, itineraries, andevent logistics.
* Liaise with government agencies, dignitaries, and keystakeholders on behalf of the Mayor.
* Coordinate civic and ceremonial functions, includingcitizenship ceremonies and Australia Day events.
* Ensure confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitivegovernance information.
What you'll bring to the role:
* Significant experience in executive support or high-leveladministration.
* Exceptional organisational and time management skills withthe ability to manage competing priorities.
* Outstanding written and verbal communication skills,including the ability to prepare speeches andpresentations.
* Strong understanding of local government governance andprotocols.
* High proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital tools,with the ability to adapt to emerging technologies.
* A proactive, collaborative approach and the ability to workin a dynamic environment with discretion andprofessionalism.
Pre-employment Requirements:
* Current C Class Driver's Licence.
* National Police Clearance (less than six months old).
* Proof of right to work in Australia.
* Pre-employment medical (arranged and paid for by theCity)
