Emergency Medicine Registrar
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Emergency Medicine Registrar to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing emergency department patients under the direction of experienced consultants.
* The registrar will work closely with a supportive FACEM-lead team-based care, ensuring a relevant history and physical examination have been conducted on each patient and all patient management documentation is completed.
* They will supervise and provide advice to junior medical staff relating to clinical management of patients and liaise with resident and on-call medical staff regarding patient concerns.
As part of our dynamic and fast-paced environment, the registrar will participate in after-hours and weekend rosters and have access to non-emergency department rotations including anaesthetics, intensive care, paediatrics and general medicine.
Our Department
Our 48-bedded emergency department commenced service in November 2015 and sees approximately 77,000 presentations per year with an admission rate of approximately 30%.
* Our team provides excellent, varied case-mix providing a broad clinical experience, including paediatrics (approximately 17% of presentations), obstetrics & gynaecology and stroke service.
* FACEM-lead team-based care ensures that patients receive high-quality care in a supportive environment.
