**About the role**

As a **Case Manager** in the **Forced Marriages Specialist Support Program**, you will provide intensive case management support, working with clients to empower them on their journey to safety and independence. Your empathetic approach and strong advocacy skills will be essential in navigating the complex legal and cultural challenges. Engaging with families, communities and services, you will have a key role in raising awareness of the risks of Forced Marriage.

This is a permanent full-time position based in Sunshine (VIC) with work from home flexibility.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Conducting comprehensive assessments
- Working with Individuals / families who are victims/survivors of Forced Marriage and Family Violence
- Offering emotional & practical assistance
- Facilitating access to essential services
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders
- Participate in community awareness activities to promote understanding and prevention of Forced Marriages

**Skills & Experience**
- A recognised Degree qualification in Social Work, Social Sciences, Psychology, Nursing or Mental Health, or a recognised Diploma in a related field and working towards a degree qualification.
- Experience developing quality case plans or individual plans
- Demonstrated experience working autonomously with multiple clients simultaneously
- Experience working with individuals, families or groups from a culturally appropriate perspective
- High level communication, influencing, liaison, negotiation and mediation skills
- Current unrestricted drivers licence

**Additional Support**

Life Without Barriers offers a dedicated After-Hours Service (AHS) for all NISS and Child Youth and Family programs. AHS ensures efficient responses to after-hours events that cannot wait until the next business day, relieving our front-line staff from on-call duties and significantly improving their work-life balance.
