Title: Test Lead
Type: Contract (6 months+)
Location: Melbourne (Hybrid work)
The Test Lead will oversee end-to-end testing ensuring accuracy, completeness, and quality across all deliverables.
The role involves close coordination with business stakeholders, data engineering teams, and vendor partners.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in test planning, test data management, and test execution within data-driven environments, along with hands‐on expertise using Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint.
Key ResponsibilitiesTest Planning & Strategy
* Develop and manage the overall test plan for Proforma Report validation in alignment with project timelines.
* Define testing approaches covering data sourcing, transformation logic, and end-to-end validation.
* Lead test data planning and preparation for functional, system, and integration testing.
Test Case Management
* Work with business teams to identify, prioritize, and finalize test cases based on requirements and risk.
* Maintain end-to-end traceability across requirements, mapping logic, and test scenarios.
Coordination & Communication
* Collaborate with data engineering, business, and vendor teams to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
* Provide periodic test progress updates to stakeholders; proactively highlight risks and dependencies.
Test Data Setup
* Ensure availability, completeness, and integrity of test data across multiple environments.
* Coordinate with technical teams for environment readiness, data refreshes, masking, and investment data validation.
Defect Management
* Log, track, and manage defects in Jira; ensure timely triage and resolution.
* Maintain dashboards for test progress, defect metrics, and stakeholder reporting.
Non-Functional Testing
* Validate performance, scalability, and data quality attributes of the Report.
* Ensure compliance with security and privacy standards for sensitive financial and investment data.
Required Skills & Experience
* 8+ years of experience in test planning, execution, and reporting for complex data-centric projects.
* Strong expertise in test data management and environment setup.
* Hands-on proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint.
* Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management capabilities.
* Good understanding of investment/financial services domain (preferred).
* Strong SQL skills for data validation and transformation logic testing.
