Nurse/Midwife Clinical Specialist Role
This role involves providing high-quality patient care in the Barkly Region. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to conduct assessments, provide therapeutic interventions, and develop education programs focused on substance abuse issues.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assessing patient needs and developing comprehensive care plans
* Providing expert advice and contributing to quality improvement initiatives
* Collaborating with stakeholders to enhance contemporary models of care
Requirements:
* Eligibility for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
* A Graduate Certificate beyond entry-to-practice (for ongoing employment)
* Advanced clinical knowledge and skills in a relevant area of Nursing and Midwifery
* Demonstrated experience working with patients who require complex substance abuse support

Barkly Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) is a specialist nurse-led service that delivers trauma-informed practice, harm minimisation model of care, and provides inpatient clinical liaison, outpatient, and outreach therapeutic services within this framework.
