Your New Role
As a Junior Estimator, your role is to provide hands-on support to the estimating team. You'll be involved in the full tendering process, with a focus on the day-to-day tasks that keep bids moving. This includes:
* Carrying out take-offs and quantity measurements
* Preparing subcontractor and supplier requests for pricing and following up responses
* Assisting with compiling tender submissions and documentation
* Maintaining accurate records, schedules, and cost databases
* Supporting senior estimators with administrative and technical tasks as required
This role will give you broad exposure to how tenders are prepared and delivered, setting you up with the skills to move into a more senior estimating role in the future.
What You Will Need to Succeed
* 1-2 years of experience in an estimating or cadet role within commercial construction
* A construction-related tertiary qualification (or progress towards one) such as Construction Management or Quantity Surveying
* Good attention to detail and a willingness to handle the measuring, data, and administrative workload that underpins estimating
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to work to tender deadlines
* A proactive mindset and an eagerness to learn from experienced estimators
