Working closely with the Commercial, Engineering, and Major Projects teams, you will provide accurate, data-driven cost assessments and pricing strategies to ensure JET Charge remains a market leader in competitive bidding.You will also drive continuous improvement in estimating methodologies, support cross-functional collaboration, and mentor internal teams in estimation best practice.What You’ll Be Responsible ForLead the preparation of detailed estimates for major infrastructure tenders, including labour, materials, and subcontractor inputs.Own and maintain JET Charge’s estimating platform, including rate and supplier data.Collaborate with project and business development teams during the bid phase to ensure alignment between cost structures and delivery models.Develop and manage supplier and subcontractor relationships to ensure consistent, competitive pricing.Build and maintain a historical database of estimation data to improve forecasting and accuracy.Identify opportunities for value engineering and commercial risk mitigation during the pre-contract phase.Support the continuous improvement of estimation tools, templates, and digital systems.Provide mentorship and training to junior estimators, engineers, and project managers.Participate in post-tender reviews and cost tracking to support ongoing refinement of estimating processes.What We’re Looking ForDiploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent.7–10+ years’ experience in electrical estimating, preferably within infrastructure, commercial, or industrial projects.Deep understanding of Australian electrical materials, labour markets, and subcontractor pricing models.Strong commercial acumen, with experience in cost structures, contract conditions, and margin strategies.Proficiency in estimation tools such as simPRO, CostX, Benchmar Estimating, or equivalent.Demonstrated ability to train and mentor teams in cost estimation and bid development.Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.Experience in developing and improving digital estimation platforms and databases.Someone who will model our values and contribute meaningfully to our culture.Our Commitment to YouAt JET Charge, we believe our culture is our competitive advantage—diverse, determined, and fearless.
