Overview
Due to an increased demand within our business, SYPAQ is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to work with a large Federal Government Department. This is a contract opportunity of 12 months plus up to 24 months of possible extension options. This role is based in Canberra and offers an immediate start.

Responsibilities
- Provide technical advice on proposed solutions.
- Produce fit-for-purpose code that is secure and follows established coding practices and processes.
- Participate in peer reviews of code and incorporate constructive feedback to ensure high-quality code.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of technical and/or security application documents.
- Implement new functionality within a multi-tier enterprise environment, including front-end web development, server-side development and database design.
- Investigate and resolve issues found in the developed solutions.
- Contribute to planning and implementation of solutions by working collaboratively with numerous stakeholders.
- Provide technical advice about technologies that could be incorporated into solutions.
- Provide technical support to internal and external stakeholders as needed.
- Deploy solutions during go-live windows to multiple environments.
- Work closely with the Lead Developer to ensure the efficient operation of the team.
- Create technical and release documentation.
- Mentor and upskill APS staff to deliver outcomes in accordance with product goals.
- Contribute to planning team workloads.
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams within an agile structure.
Technical skills
C#, ASP. Net, client-side frameworks in an Enterprise environment, SQL Server, Angular, Java Script/Type Script, Azure Dev Ops, GIT repositories, Power Shell, React, Share Point, Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), Responsive design principles, Creating and executing unit testing (jest).
To be eligible for this role, you must hold active Negative Vetting (NV1) clearance.
