Job Purpose
Manage pre-planning and delivery to achieve project time, safety, quality, and budget objectives. Successfully lead the project delivery process and drive completion of work in accordance with TAO and legislative requirements. Deliver works that fully satisfy the UGLRL’s and the Client’s expectations of time, cost, safety, and environmental objectives. Additionally, manage site subcontractors and suppliers to complete projects.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
* Define and fulfill UGLRL TAO Obligations for construction in line with UGL procedures, TfNSW requirements, relevant codes and standards, and industry best practices.
* Ensure compliance with TAO, legislative requirements, and quality standards.
* Review and arrange relevant approval designs as construction progresses.
* Ensure all construction activities are implemented according to plans, designs, and specifications.
* Manage design adherence or controlled changes in line with UGLRL procedures.
* Implement quality assurance systems and processes to meet TAO (construction) requirements. Act as technical representative and signatory for all hold and witness points.
* Perform tasks as directed by line management, based on experience and skillset.
* Create, update, and adhere to the project programme.
* Manage site construction budgets, monitor costs, and prepare cost reports. Review costs and take remedial actions to keep financial control within budget.
* Apply working knowledge of contractual and legislative requirements relevant to the project.
* Demonstrate financial management skills and commercial acumen in decision-making.
* Manage contractors to ensure contractual, programme, cost, HSE, and quality outcomes are achieved.
* Provide required reports to the Enhancements Delivery Manager to meet monthly reporting timelines.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Environmental).
* Chartered Engineering Status, working towards, or with the intention to apply.
* Rail Infrastructure Workers Card “RIW” and relevant track access competencies (training can be provided by UGLRL, but mandatory for successful probation).
* NSW Construction Industry Safety Induction “White Card” (training can be provided by UGLRL, but mandatory for successful probation).
* Current Class 1 (Minimum) Driving License.
* 8-10 years’ postgraduate experience with at least 8 years on-site.
