* Temporary full-time Clerk Grade 5/6 ($99,938 - $110,271 per annum) opportunity up to 13 August 2027, based in Martin Place, Sydney
About the Role
You will join our State Inspectorate team within the Industrial Relations branch in the People and Workforce group.
As an Investigator, you will investigate industrial complaints, review evidence, and ensure compliance with NSW industrial legislation. You’ll manage cases from start to finish, interpret legislation, and prepare detailed reports for enforcement and prosecution action.
In addition to managing investigations, you will engage with businesses and the public, providing advice on their rights and responsibilities. Your role will involve handling a high volume of investigations, phone and web inquiries, collaborating with stakeholders and preparing evidence for prosecution.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in industrial relations while working in a small dynamic and supportive team. You’ll gain hands-on experience in a regulatory environment, contributing to the fair application of workplace laws across the state.

We're Looking For
* Communication: You have high-level written and verbal communication skills, with experience engaging stakeholders and the public, providing clear and professional advice
* Time Management: You can balance competing priorities and meet deadlines while managing high volume investigations, phone, and web queries
* Legislative Interpretation: You have experience effectively interpreting and applying legislation to a wide range of workplace issues, ensuring compliance with complex legislation
* Collaboration: You have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team, meeting team goals, and autonomously to manage your own tasks
* Qualifications: You hold a Certificate IV in Government (Investigations) or a willingness to undertake this qualification
* Driver’s License: You hold a current Driver’s License and are willing to travel as required
