Defence Manufacturing Quality Lead Role
This is a full-time, permanent position based in South Canberra district.
Main Responsibilities:
* You will lead and mentor a team of quality officers, inspectors, and technicians to ensure the highest standards are met.
* Your key tasks include coordinating Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), implementing corrective actions, and preparing quality documents, records, and reports.
* Collaborate with the Incoming Goods Supervisor to optimize inspections and warehouse efficiency through process improvements.
* Develop and implement quality training programs while supervising the quality inspection team.
* You will manage staffing issues and employee relations in line with company policies.
* Support the Quality Manager as needed, contributing to the smooth operation of quality management activities.
Requirements:
* A tertiary qualification in Engineering, Quality, Business, Management, or prior experience in a similar role is essential.
* Proven leadership experience in quality assurance within a manufacturing or electronics environment is required.
* Proficiency in quality management tools and software is necessary for success in this role.
* Experience working in defence or equivalent regulated industries would be beneficial (e.g. manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, oil & gas, mining, power, utilities, telco, rail).
The successful candidate must be an Australian Citizen and eligible to obtain and maintain an AGSVA clearance – Baseline or NV1.
