About The Role
The Accountant will ensure accurate and timely recording, reconciliation, and maintenance of financial data across APAC entities, supporting strong data integrity and efficient, reliable reporting. The role assists with budgeting, audits, and compliance with accounting standards and company policies to enable effective financial management and informed decision‑making.
Responsibilities
* Prepare month‑end journals including accruals, prepayments, and standard adjustments.
* Maintain accurate financial records and reconciliations for APAC entities, investigate and resolve month‑end variances.
* Prepare GST reports and submissions.
* Process transactions and maintain supporting documentation for Australian R&D Incentive.
* Maintain fixed asset and lease schedules, ensuring accurate recording in the ERP system.
* Perform Transfer Pricing transaction processing in line with guidance from International Tax Manager.
* Support monthly, quarterly, half‑year and year‑end reporting by ensuring accuracy and compliance.
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance financial processes and efficiency.
* Support APAC accounts receivable & payable functions.
* Assist Group Reporting in the annual and half‑year audit process as needed, including timely record keeping throughout the year.
* Support the annual budgeting and monthly reforecasting process.
* Any other duties as reasonably agreed.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* CA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification preferred.
* 1–2 years of experience in a similar capacity.
* Growing understanding of accounting standards (IFRS & AASB).
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
* Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
* Detail‑oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity.
* Willingness to learn and improve.
* Proven experience in accounting or related roles.
* Experience with SAP, NetSuite, Oracle or Workday Adaptive.
* Previous experience in assisting a budget.
