About the role:
As the Allied Health Assistant, you will be involved in providing support to the Older Persons Mental Health team and working with consumers in individual or group settings with complex care needs. You will be managing a busy workload and competing demands, providing allied health services to consumers of the Ward 18V and community team under supervision of an Allied Health Professional.
Duties for the role will include:
* Monitoring consumer response to service referrals and or therapies and reporting to the supervising AHP
* Accurately maintain therapy related databases and consumer under the explicit direction of the supervising AHP
* Assisting with consumers movement and/or physical tasks as part of a directed therapy intervention
* Participating and engaging in workplace health and safety procedures
About you:
* Ability to work in a physically demanding environment to assist consumer therapy and / or handling of consumer related equipment and devices
* Eligible and willing to complete Certificate 3 in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent
* Proven experience in delivering high quality and safe care consistent with the National Safety and Quality Health Care Service Standards
