Mental Health Professional - Acute Care Team


Location: Taree Community Health Service


Overview


At Manning Mental Health Service, you'll be part of a collaborative and supportive team delivering acute outpatient care across the Lower Mid North Coast. We provide timely consultation, assessment, treatment, and follow-up support to adults and their families, with a strong focus on recovery and continuity of care. Our service plays a key role in helping consumers transition from hospital to home, offering medication monitoring, psychoeducation, relapse prevention, and coordinated support with local services. As part of the Acute Care Team, you'll work across a dynamic 7-day rotating roster—where every day brings meaningful impact.


Responsibilities

* Provide mental health assessment, treatment planning, and evidence-based interventions for adults and their families in an acute outpatient context.
* Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to deliver person-centred care and trauma-informed practice.
* Coordinate care with local services and support transitions from hospital to home, including medication monitoring, psychoeducation, and relapse prevention.
* Participate in a 7-day rotating roster and contribute to service improvement and professional growth.


Requirements

* Must hold a qualification in Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Nursing, or Social Work with eligibility or general registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or relevant professional association.
* Eligibility to drive in NSW and interstate and willingness to travel.


What We Can Offer You

* Remuneration: $72,152.53 - $113,226 per annum + super + salary packaging
* Employment Type: Permanent Full Time
* Location: Taree Community Health Service
* Hours Per Week: 38
* Salary packaging options up to $11,600 plus novated leasing
* 4 weeks annual leave (pro-rata for part-time)
