Service Operations Support
Permanent Part-Time – School Terms Only
Trans North is seeking a Service Operations Support team member to assist with the day-to-day coordination of our school bus services. This role supports the Depot Manager and provides practical assistance to our drivers and carers to ensure services run smoothly.
This is a permanent part-time position, ideal for someone who enjoys structured hours, school-friendly work, and a mix of administration and hands-on operational support.
About the role
This position works split shifts during school terms only:
* Morning: 8:00am – 11:00am
* Afternoon: 1:30pm – 4:30pm
* School holidays off
You will assist with rostering, daily coordination of school runs, and provide support to drivers and carers, while also stepping into operational duties where required.
Key responsibilities
* Assist with preparing and maintaining driver rosters for school runs
* Provide administrative and operational support to the Depot Manager
* Act as a point of contact for day-to-day operational queries and changes
* Support drivers and carers with route coordination and general guidance
* Assist in ensuring safe, reliable and compliant delivery of school transport services
* Step in as a driver or school bus carer when required
* Monitor attendance and assist with workforce coordination
What we're looking for
* Experience in administration, rostering or coordination (transport, education or similar highly regarded)
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to support a team in a practical, hands-on way
* Calm, reliable and solutions-focused with strong communication skills
* Happy to work split shifts during school terms
* Comfortable working around children and school environments
Licences & checks
The following is required:
* Minimum of MR licence
* Driver Authorisation (or willingness to obtain)
