Do you have an exceptional eye for detail and a passion for turning ideas into beautifully executed designs? White Events, Western Australia’s leading wedding and event planning studio, is looking for a skilled Event Designer to join our team.
This part time, behind the scenes role is design-led, with a focus on interiors and styling rather than event coordination. You’ll collaborate closely with our Directors to develop refined concepts, floor plans, and styling documents that shape some of WA’s most distinctive and memorable celebrations.
What You'll Do
Develop mood boards, concept designs, and styling presentations for each event
Draft floor plans, site layouts, and renders to communicate design vision
Source and curate hire items, linens, florals, stationery, lighting, and production elements
Develop custom builds in conjunction with Directors
Maintain and update hire orders, inventory lists, and our internal design catalogue
Prepare detailed and accurate design handover documents
Research and incorporate innovative design trends, products, and creative solutions
Support Directors with initial supplier briefs and styling quotes
Assist in elevating the overall style-focus of the events we create
And if you'd like to be part of the hands-on action, you can also join us as an Event Day Stylist for onsite execution. These hours are paid in addition to your design role.
What We're Looking For
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in event design, interior styling, or related creative field
Qualification in Interior Design, Visual Arts, or related creative discipline (or equivalent experience)
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) with intermediate to advanced skills is essential
Proficiency with CAD, SketchUp, or similar 3D/design software
Strong creative portfolio demonstrating refined, cohesive design work (events and/or interior styling preferred)
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple design projects to deadlines
Knowledge of design principles, colour theory, and event styling trends
A creative, innovative mindset with the ability to translate vision into execution-ready plans
Knowledge of the Western Australia event industry advantageous, but not essential
Part-time position starting at 3 days per week
Hours designed to suit school day availability (9:30am–2:30pm, Tuesday to Thursday)
Flexible working environment with scope to grow the role
