Responsibilities
* Document preparation – drafting, formatting, and proofreading legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, and briefs.
* Client communication – interacting with clients to gather information, provide updates, and answer queries regarding their cases.
* Legal research – conducting research to support cases, including reviewing statutes, regulations, and case law.
* File management – organizing and maintaining case files, ensuring all documents are accurately filed and easily accessible.
* Scheduling – coordinating appointments, court dates, and meetings for lawyers and clients.
* Billing and invoicing – assisting in the preparation of invoices and tracking billable hours for legal services rendered.
* Administrative support – performing general office duties such as answering phones, managing correspondence, and ordering supplies.
* Trial preparation – assisting lawyers in preparing for trials by organizing exhibits, preparing witness lists, and summarizing case files.
