Our Client A fast-growing Australian technology company is seeking a Head of Engineering to lead and scale its engineering function. The business delivers cutting-edge, privacy-first identity verification and data solutions used by major players across FinTech, AdTech, and RegTech sectors. Recently ranked in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50, the company is recognised for its rapid growth and technical innovation, with a core focus on AWS, Snowflake, and privacy-enhancing technologies. This role is ideal for a hands-on technical leader who thrives in a fast-paced, lean environment and wants to shape the architecture and delivery of globally distributed data products. Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership Lead and mentor a high-performing engineering team. Own and evolve architecture across AWS and Snowflake. Drive design decisions around scalability, performance, and security. Embed privacy-by-design principles aligned to ISO27001 standards. Product & Platform Delivery Deliver core product roadmaps across identity enrichment, unification, and verification tools. Manage full development lifecycle – from scoping to deployment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Privacy, and Data Ops. Cloud Marketplace Deployment Lead the rollout of software and data products into Snowflake Marketplace. Lay groundwork for broader cloud distribution. Align engineering with product-led, cloud-native distribution strategies. Operations & Quality Ensure cost-effective, high-performance AWS infrastructure. Maintain operational excellence across services like Lambda, Redshift, Aurora, and DynamoDB. Manage CI/CD pipelines and documentation standards. Requirements 8 years in software engineering, with 4 years in leadership. Strong expertise across AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, Aurora, DynamoDB, Redshift, Glue). AWS Solutions Architect (or similar) certification. Proficiency in Python and data pipeline development. Experience with distributed platforms and SaaS/data infrastructure. Exposure to Snowflake Marketplace or similar. Strong understanding of secure SDLC and InfoSec practices.
