Overview
As a member of the P&C Business Partnering team in Asia Pacific, you will support the Area Director, Australia and New Zealand and Regional Managers to provide effective, suitable and professional people experience to business stakeholders while keeping up pace with business operational needs. You will play a critical role in connecting regional programs to local initiatives to support Retail in Australia and New Zealand. You report to the Senior Manager, People & Culture Business Partnering – Australia & New Zealand, and lead a small team supporting the retail organization in AUNZ.
Responsibilities
* Executes P&C priorities and deliverables to the Retail organisation, working closely with the Senior Manager, P&C AUNZ and Area Director AUNZ.
* Leverages deep business understanding to identify issues, diagnose root causes, provide insights, offer recommendations and develop proactive solutions to drive objectives through a talent lens (productivity, engagement, skill development, attraction and retention & recognition).
* Provides insights and feedback to in-market Centers of Excellence (CoEs) and Retail Leaders, representing the voice of the business to P&C and the voice of P&C to the business.
* Translates business strategy to inform P&C strategy and informs the business through Talent and Workforce Planning activities.
* Partners with Health and Wealth to manage total rewards cycles, including annual merit reviews, bonus programs, promotions, and out-of-cycle requests for the Retail business.
* Coordinates with internal cross-functional teams (Payroll, FP&A, Regional Managers / Store Managers) to ensure all people movements (new hires, transfers, exits) are processed as planned.
* Influences and coaches Retail leaders on P&C and business issues, including how to attract, select, develop, manage, and retain top talent to drive results.
* Ensures compliance with internal policies and practices and with relevant employment legislation.
* In partnership with Employee Relations, ensure compliance for corporate policies and procedures, laws and P&C matters are proactively researched and managed.
* As required, lead investigations regarding violations of company standards of conduct and policies in partnership with Employee Relations.
* Coaches Retail Managers on performance improvement plans and recommends actions as needed.
* Manages Employee Listening processes, monitors engagement and provides advice on action plans to address opportunities.
* Supports delivery of annual people programs including Pace, bi-annual compensation review, promotions and bonus programs.
* Validates that P&C administrative forms/systems are completed with appropriate approvals and maintains employee records in Workday.
* Ensures timely Workday transactions and reporting in partnership with the People Experiences support team.
* Coaches and develops team members to ensure P&C services meet market needs.
* Responsible for the hiring, management, leadership, development, and engagement of the P&C Retail organization.

Qualifications
* Bachelor of Business (Human Resources Management or Organisational Psychology).
* 8+ years of experience as a manager in a full spectrum of human resources roles.
* Well versed in local employment law.
* Strong business acumen and ability to connect with the business to understand needs.
* Experience using quantitative and qualitative data for informed decision making.
* Experience coaching and developing teams; trusted partner with clarity in leadership.
* Strong project management, stakeholder engagement, program execution and change management.
* Consulting and collaboration skills across partner types and navigating uncharted territory.
* Strong knowledge of employment law and applying it to various situations.
