The Role:

If you have an interest in investigative work, applying rules consistently, and ensuring fair and transparent operations, this is an ideal opportunity to develop a career in enforcement and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
* Support race day regulatory activities, including identification and verification of racing participants and animals, swabbing procedures, and observing adherence to rules and procedures.
* Assist in non-race day inspections such as stables, kennels, and training facilities to ensure compliance with racing regulations.
* Review race field information, eligibility criteria, and general race conditions to ensure accuracy and adherence to established rules.
* Assist in the preparation of reports documenting compliance, incidents, or breaches of racing rules.
* Undertake administrative tasks to support regulatory operations, including record keeping, database management, and responding to enquiries regarding racing rules and regulations.
What You'll Bring
* A strong interest in rules, compliance, and fair practices, or experience in a regulatory, law enforcement, or investigative setting.
* The ability to apply rules consistently, follow procedures, and escalate issues where standards are not met.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills to explain processes and decisions clearly to colleagues, industry participants, and the public.
* Strong attention to detail, integrity, and the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally.
* Willing and able to travel statewide (pool car) to racetracks for race meetings and official trials, with flexibility to work weekdays, evenings, weekends, and public holidays in accordance with roster requirements.
* Maintain a high standard of professional presentation at all times, demonstrating reliability, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to representing the industry in a positive and professional manner.
