Reporting to
Manager Crop Production or Senior Production Specialist
Purpose
Develop the ability to execute seed production with the objective to have the right seeds delivered of the right quality and quantity, at the right time and right price with a high reliability and efficiency. In addition, develop the ability to properly evaluate seed producibility at the specific variety stages (R2 through to CC) for parent, trial and commercial seeds.

Key Accountabilities
* Support the crop monitoring from stock seed to harvest to ensure seed production at agreed quality, quantity, price and time. Execution of operational tasks for the monitoring and has contact with the supplier to ensure these tasks can be completed timely. This includes amongst others:
* Request and analysis of (weekly) reports, putting report information into systems and preparation of summaries.
* Learn and study the different crop management systems that are applied per crop, per supplier, per region.
* Under guidance of the (Sr.) Production Specialist monitoring of the crop and providsion of insight and analysis of the methods to provide input to the operational crop management for the best production results for the varieties.
* Under guidance of the (Sr.) Production Specialist execution of the actions and anlaysis required to evaluate the batches for settlement (quality, quantity, upgrading impact, other deviations).
* Monitoring and reviewing of all phytosanitary and quality protocols as required for the crop production and monitoring the execution at the supplier. Execution of administrative checks to ensure phytosanitary measures are compliant and proactively signalling of any issues prior to shipments.
* Support the execution and monitoring of production orders according to plan. Contact with the supplier in this respect, under supervision of the (Sr.) Production Specialist. This includes amongst others:
* Checking of the crop production planning schedule and monitoring of progress (collecting, processing and analysing data).
* Proactively signalling any deviations from the plan, aligning actions with the supplier, Production Specialist, Production Plannerand other stakeholders as required.
* Ensure all tasks for shipment of seed to and from supplier are properly and timely completed, inlcuding cross department and cross functional checks (e.g. with customer service, R&D, trade compliance).
* Support the maintenance of the physical stock seed inventory. This includes:
* Checking of inventory data and reporting in the systems at batch level, performing analysis.
* Ensure that re-germination tests as requested by the (Sr.) Production Specialist are carried out according to the internal process, and monitor priority setting.
* Perform regular checks and analysis on the phytosanitary regulations and ensure that the stock seed batch in inventory comply with required certifications and that the data in the system correctly reflects the right status.
* Development and application of the knowledge of seed producibility for the defined set of crops in scope.Learn how to evaluate and monitor seed producibility based on the key data and insights of a seed variety in each stage of development, from R2 through to CD/RD.Preparation of reports and analyses on seed producibility for use in the business process meetings on variety advancement (with R&D, M&S, other SO departments) under supervision of the (Sr.) Production Specialist.
* Participation in functional and cross functional business process meetings and preparation of analyses and presentations for the requested topics.
* Contibution to the production planning processes to ensure correct and optimal production data and parameters in the systems used (e.g. ProfiApp, ERP system, planning system). Is consulted on production planning parameters (recommendation) and spread among producers. Is consulted on the production planning distribution (among area's/producers) and input onproduction planning parameters (e.g., BY and TSW)On request of the Production Planner is consulted on stockseed batch allocation.
* Participation in projects as a project member.
