About the Role
Our organization is seeking a qualified Environmental Specialist to fill this diverse role. The position offers opportunities to work across environmental assessments, support ranger programs and capacity-building activities, and engage with communities.
* Conduct environmental fieldwork, including flora and fauna identification, vegetation assessments, and targeted species surveys.
* Support ranger programs and capacity-building activities, including accredited training delivery (Cert IV Training & Assessing desirable).
* Assist with land management tasks such as weed control, feral animal management, revegetation, water monitoring, fire management, and ecological restoration.
* Develop culturally appropriate project plans and work alongside Traditional Owners to integrate Indigenous knowledge and values into environmental practices.
This is a field and office-based role involving travel across regional WA (and occasionally interstate). Work may include consulting with Traditional Owners, flora and fauna surveys, vegetation assessments, fire and land management, ranger training and mentoring, and supporting Aboriginal community-driven environmental outcomes.
