About the Role
The Department of Education is seeking a highly skilled Principal Business Solutions Developer to contribute to the ongoing development, enhancement, and maintenance of data warehouse and reporting products. This role requires a multiskilled professional with proven experience in SQL Server Management Studio and Visual Studio.
This position plays a key part in shaping and supporting the department's continued expansion of business intelligence solutions. The successful candidate will develop fit-for-purpose data models to deliver insights directly into the hands of users.
Key Responsibilities Include:
* Design and Develop Data Models: Apply extensive knowledge of data warehouse and ETL design principles to create efficient and effective data models.
* Quality Assurance: Implement Quality Assurance checks to ensure data quality, integrity, and lineage across solutions.
* Performance Analysis: Conduct performance analysis and optimize code as required.
* Unit and System Testing: Undertake unit and system testing of all development work.
Requirements and Qualifications:
* Demonstrated knowledge of data warehouse architecture, data modelling, and ETL design.
* Highly developed analytical skills, particularly in analysing data and transforming into relational tables.
* Demonstrated experience working with the Microsoft development stack, including SQL Server Management Studio and Visual Studio, for the creation of ETL processes on Microsoft SQL Server, as well as creation of semantic models in PowerBI or SSAS, including DAX query language.

Benefits:
* Salary: A$129,089.00-A$138,273.00 per year.
