At St Martins Lutheran College, our Year Level Leaders play a pivotal role in shaping a positive and connected student experience. As the Year 7 Year Level Leader, you will lead the wellbeing, engagement, and learning progress of students in their first year of secondary school – a year that is both exciting and formative. Working closely with Home Group and subject teachers, you’ll foster a culture of high expectations, belonging, and care, while guiding students through this important transition.
This full-time role offers the chance to step into leadership while continuing to make an impact in the classroom. For two years, you’ll serve as the Year 7 Year Level Leader (0.3 FTE) alongside an ongoing 0.7 FTE teaching position. At the conclusion of the leadership term, you’ll continue at the College in a full-time 1.0 FTE teaching role.
Beyond the day-to-day routines, you’ll have the chance to influence year-level programs, coordinate key events, and strengthen partnerships with families and the wider school community. You will also mentor and support colleagues, helping them respond confidently to student wellbeing and engagement needs.
If you are passionate about guiding young people, committed to building robust relationships, and ready to grow as a middle leader, this role offers an exciting pathway to make a lasting difference in the lives of both students and staff.
