The Opportunity
As our Manager in the Financial Services Audit practice, you will help our clients meet their reporting requirements by accurately reporting on financial statements and providing meaningful insights. You will anticipate risk, work effectively across EY, and identify opportunities to enhance trust, focusing on overall audit quality, and building excellent client relationships. You will focus on account strategy and delivery, maximizing the possibilities from data and technology.
This position is based in Warrang – Sydney. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.
Your Key Responsibilities
Manage the audit engagement by defining audit strategy in consultation with the Senior Manager/Partner, and executing it in compliance with our policies and protocols.
Effectively manage the audit process with appropriate consideration of audit risk issues and accounting technical matters.
Lead and manage fieldwork on clients' sites including liaising with other departments to ensure smooth delivery of the audit process.
Leverage your expertise in accounting frameworks (IFRS) and in related financial reporting matters.
Skills and Attributes for Success
At least 6 years of external audit experience, including planning, execution, and reporting on audits.
A relevant degree and/or progress towards/completion of a recognized accounting qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent).
Expertise in accounting frameworks (IFRS) and related financial reporting matters.
Proven experience delivering external audit and assurance engagements.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills and a collaborative approach to management.
Ability to develop and maintain deep client relationships, addressing concerns and providing value-added recommendations.
Ability to create a positive learning culture, coaching and counseling junior team members.
Ability to generate innovative solutions.
