We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Staff Specialist or Staff Specialist Anaesthetist to join our dedicated anaesthetic team in a rural, regional location in Queensland.

As a Staff Specialist Anaesthetist, you will play an integral role in a well-equipped hospital that serves as the primary referral center for a vast and diverse region. The hospital's anaesthetics department is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including operating theatres and an ICU/High Dependency Unit, where procedures are performed across a wide range of specialties, including general surgery, obstetrics, orthopaedics, and trauma.

Key Responsibilities:
You will provide evidence-based anaesthetic care across a variety of medical specialties, including surgery, obstetrics, trauma, and dental procedures.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care and outcomes.
Take part in the supervision, teaching, and development of junior medical staff and anaesthesia trainees.
Contribute to clinical governance and participate in ongoing professional development and training.
Provide support to other healthcare facilities in the region, as needed.
Participate in an on-call roster to support anaesthetic services as required.

Requirements:
Current registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) or equivalent.
Proficiency in anaesthesia for obstetrics and epidurals.

Experience working with diverse communities, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander populations.
Desirable Qualifications:
Experience in paediatric anaesthesia (up to 5 years).
