What You'll Be Doing The primary purpose of the Unaccredited Trainee in Orthopaedics is to provide safe, high-quality care, and to assess and manage orthopaedic surgery patients under supervision. The trainee should be aware of their limitations and work collegially and collaboratively. Decision-making and supervision will be appropriate to the trainee's skills and experience, with an expectation of increasing independence over time, under the guidance of the Attending Medical Officer (AMO). All patients are under the direct care of a specialist medical practitioner, and all care decisions are to be clearly communicated with the responsible specialist.
This position supports training requirements with the Royal Australian College of Surgeons.
