Specialist, Risk Advisory
The role sits within the Line 2 Risk Function, responsible for providing independent risk oversight, assurance, and challenge across the organisation. The position supports the delivery of the risk assurance plan, evaluates internal controls, conducts internal audits, and provides insights that enhance risk management maturity
Role Location: Melbourne VIC
Role responsibilities:Conduct thematic reviews, validate effectiveness of controls and identify practical areas for improvement.Provide effective challenge including forming an independent view on the risk profiles.Conduct risk-based assurance reviews to assess the design and effectiveness of internal controls.Provide second-line challenge to business units on risk assessments, controls, and remediation activities
What you'll need to succeedExperience in Risk Assurance, Internal Audit, Operational Risk, or a related risk discipline.Strong understanding of risk management frameworks, internal controls, and assurance methodologies.Strong background from Big 4 firms or Insurance would be preferred.
