**The Team**
Based in Melbourne, this position sits in a high performing team driving the Group's M&A activities. The role will focus on executing transactions, with the support of a Senior team member. The M&A Manager will be involved in the end to end process, including the due diligence process, reviewing/building financial models, managing stakeholders, writing papers (Board, Investment Committee ), and assisting in negotiations. The position offers great exposure and visibility to the Group's strategy initiatives and a wide range of career development opportunities.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Delivering acquisitions with necessary capabilities, that meet the Group's strategic objectives
- Ensuring integration of acquisitions while minimising risks identified in the due diligence process
- Improving internal M&A practices, processes, and procedures
- Working closely with the BUs to identify opportunities and drive value from existing assets
- Analysing new, emerging trends and evaluate their impact
- Exploring alternative business models for operations, such as alliances, out-sourcing & in-sourcing opportunities
- Providing support on strategic development projects
**Skills & Experience**
- Relevant tertiary education (finance, business )
- Previous experience in Big 4 Corporate Finance (transaction), internal M&A/Corporate Development, or Investment Banking
- Strong valuations and financial modelling skills (hands on)
- Excellent communication skills (written/verbal)
- Strong stakeholder management
