Job Title: Assistant Human Resources Consultant
About the Opportunity:
We have an exciting opportunity to join the Human Resources team as an Assistant Human Resources Consultant, where you will be responsible for:
1. Providing accurate and timely HR advice to managers and staff, and practical assistance on operational issues regarding conditions of employment, departmental HR policies and procedures, and other SA Public Sector guidelines.
2. Contributing to Vacancy management processes as required.
3. Undertaking a range of activities associated with recruitment and selection, and classification management processes.
4. Extracting, preparing, researching, and developing reports on HR information for presentation to clients.
5. Liaising with relevant department managers and Shared Services SA on a range of HRMS related matters, including recruitment, selection, and appointment, induction, staffing, payroll, and other operational HR support functions.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
1. A sound level of communication skills, including the ability to provide advice and options to a diverse range of people on people management policies and procedures, both orally and in writing.
2. Ability to work effectively under general direction and organise work to meet deadlines.
3. Experience in providing an advisory and/or operational service on human resource management matters in a diverse environment, including researching and analysing information and preparing reports.
4. Ability to undertake minor investigations and research and prepare correspondence of a sometimes sensitive and highly confidential nature.
5. Demonstrated interpersonal skills, which facilitate effective working relationships.
