Job Title: Database Administrator
This is a dynamic role within our IT organization where you will be responsible for providing support & maintenance for all databases, including Oracle eBusiness Application Database Administration.
* Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure alignment of proposed solutions meet with enterprise policies, procedures and standards and direction.
2. Administer and support databases (Oracle, SQL Server and various Open Source software) across various production and non-production environments to ensure optimal performance
3. Perform and support operational backups and recovery systems or procedures by to meet customer requirements and align with corporate disaster recovery guidelines.
4. Assist in the creation, planning and scheduling data migrations that maintain data integrity after transfer from one environment to another.
5. Work independently to maintain business critical databases and uses judgment to determine the appropriate database management functions
6. Support Global Compliance and Process Improvement activities, including commonality of processes and procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Experience in an MS SQL Server 2016 through current version.
* Experience in supporting multiple versions of Oracle Databases (12- 19c). PeopleSoft, Cognos BI, data warehouses desirable
* Proven experience in an Oracle environment using RAC and Grid Control in Unix OS environment LINUX (OEL, RedHat) highly regarded.
* Experience with Oracle eBusiness, Data Guard, Golden Gate replication, highly regarded.
* Experience with Open Source database software including but not limited to PostgreSQL and MongoDB highly regarded.
* Ability to obtain a Defence Security clearance to SECRET or above essential.
* The ability to undertake adhoc tasks out of hours and available to be rostered for on-call duties when required.
