Lecturer/Senior Lecturer (Head of Foundation Years), School of MedicineFremantle CampusFull/Part time opportunity, (0.6-1.0) Continuing contractFriendly and collaborative environmentRewarding opportunity to be part of the foundation leadership teamLevel B from $108,824, Level Cfrom $133,307pa+ 14.25% superAbout the universityThe University of Notre Dame Australia is a private Catholic University with over 1,000 permanent staff providing an exceptional educational experience to over 12,000 students across our Fremantle, Broome, and Sydney campuses, as well as clinical schools in Victoria and New South Wales.About the roleReporting to the National Head of Medical Education and Innovation you will oversee the delivery of the first two years of the Program in Fremantle and are responsible for coordination of tutor staff and students.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinating the delivery of the Doctor of Medicine (MD) curriculum for MEDI6100 and MEDI6200 (Foundation Years) in relation to tutorials and clinical attachments.Supporting the development and delivery of PBL within the School.Preparing and revising the Foundation Years Course Handbooks each year in conjunction with the Head of Medical Education and Innovation.Providing supervision and oversight of the Foundation Years Group Tutors including recruitment, peer review of teaching and professional development activities.Coordinating and providing leave relief for Foundation Years Group Tutors during the academic year as needed.Providing coordination and pastoral care to the Foundation Years medical students in conjunction with Group Tutors and the Head of Student Matters.Overseeing all Foundation Years clinical attachments, including coordinating rosters and processes, ensuring consistency with the curriculum.Providing feedback and advice to the Head of Curriculum, Head of Assessment, Heads of Discipline and Heads of Domain regarding the Foundation Years curriculum and delivery.Providing assistance with the development and implementation of student assessment and examinations.About youLevel B (Lecturer)A level B Academic Staff Member is expected to make contributions to the teaching effort of the institution and to carry out activities to maintain and develop their scholarly, research and/or professional activities relevant to the profession or discipline.Level C (Lecturer)A level C Academic Staff Member is expected to make significant contributions to the teaching effort of a department, school, faculty or other organisational unit or an interdisciplinary area.
